PERAN PENTING LINGUSITICS DALAM TERJEMAHAN DAN LINGSITICS DALAM PENERAPANNYA BY.Dr. Inayatul Mukarromah.,S.S.M.Pd

Alhamdulillah dua buku persembahan Purnabakti dari Prof. DR. DRs. Ida Bagus Putra Yadnya.,M.A telah publikasi pertanggal 25 Desember 2022 dan  .    

 Tulisan ini saya persembahkan kepada dua guru besar saya Prof,DR. DRS. IDA Bagus PUtra .  Pura Yadnya seorang professor yang ahli d ibindang Translation ( terjemahan) , dan Prof Made Budiarsa seorang Professor yang ahli dibidang Applid Lingusitics baik Applied Lingustics for Education maupun Applied Lingusitics for Tourism. 

Kedua Professor ayang telah saya tulis adalah dosen saya di Fakultas Ilmu Budaya . Prodi S3 Ilmu Lingusitics.

Teringat apa yang dijelaskan dan disampaikan Prof Putra yandnya bahwa  Ilmu Lingusitics memiliki peran pening dalam hal menterjemahkan karena hal ini beekaitan dengan pendalaman secara mikro dan makro lingusitics. Seorang penterjemah pasti harus memiliki kemampuan yang bagus khusunya dibidang terjemahan. Sementara itu Penterjemahan itu erat kaitannya dengan bebeeapa aspek antara lainsemanti phonology, morphology, syntax hingga semantic. 

Penterjemah tidak hanya didasrkan karena si penterjemah adalah native yaitu orang yang memiliki bahasanya. Tetapi hal yang sangat mendukukug selain seseorang mampu memnguasai bahasanya dalam sehari - hari maka penterjemah juga dituntut mampu menguasai keilmuan lingusitics. 

    Linguistic theory views translation as a linguistic activity. According to Catford (1965:20) translation is: The replacement of textual material in one language (source language) by equivalent textual material in another language (target language)

       The linguistic approach to translation incorporates the following: meaning, equivalence, shift, text purpose and analysis, and discourse register; which can be examined in the contexts of structural and functional linguistics, semantics, pragmatics correspondence, sociolinguistics and stylistics. 

Linguistics is the scientific study of language and language is at crossroads of all disciplines. This requires a translator to go beyond the linguistic aspects of the language to the extra linguistics. T

        the language of tourism attempts to seduce millions of people into becoming tourists and subsequently to control their attitudes and behaviour. As tourists, such people then contribute further to this language through the communication of their experiences’(summary to the 1996 volume). Dann’s book represents a hallmark for the development of the language of tourism, since it provides the earliest sociolinguistic treatment of tourism and its language. In addition, in the same book Dann further postulates that ‘once a linguistic paradigm for tourism is accepted, it follows that the type of language it employs will vary according to the object of promotion and the corresponding needs which it attempts to fulfill’(idem.).
